YUVA Skill Development Program launched by Delhi Police under PMKVY


The Delhi police have launched a new program "YUVA" to improve the image of the police among ordinary people. The aim of the plan is to provide certain skills to guide the country's youth in the right direction.

YUVA - Skills Development Program is an initiative of the Delhi Police Pradhan Mantri Kaushal under Vikas Yojana. The Delhi Police open training centers for competence development in police stations under this program to increase the trust and faith of people in the police.

As part of the program development skills YUVA have selected about 2269 candidates for training in 45 skills in the next three months to 36 training partners. Therefore, a total of 32 police buildings were identified, where the competence development centers will be opened as soon as possible.

YUVA - Skills Development Program

The goal of this initiative is to connect with young people by updating their skills according to the needs of society. This program will help young people to obtain a fertile Pradhan Mantri employment under the auspices of Vikas Yojana under the Ministry of Development of Language Capabilities.

Training skills to connect selected candidates to mass employment, the Delhi police were linked to the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) under Pradhan Mantri's Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY).



National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) will provide skills training to youths, Pradhan Mantri's Kaushal Vikas Yojna (PMKVY) and CII will create job creation linked by their Sector Skills Councils, which are affiliated with the industry for selected candidate.

According to official notification, the Delhi police will choose from 13 districts young people aged between 17 and 25 years. The candidates selected for this training belong to different categories, particularly disadvantaged colonies, such as school dropouts, juvenile offenders, victims of crime and families in appalling condition due to imprisonment of the breadwinner of the family.

This is a good initiative by the Delhi police to get young people to find a job and connect with the youth and the community. With this program, the Delhi police will make a great effort to build a positive image among the citizens.
